　　Amazon过去以两季直接预定拿下Julia Roberts主演﹑Sam Esmail开发的新剧《归途 Homecoming》。本剧根据Gimlet Media同名爆热播客改编，其甫一上线就成为了多家电影电视制作方和制片人想要争夺的热门IP。在经过激烈角逐后，Universal Cable Productions拿下改编权并与Sam Esmail联手将其搬上电视荧幕。

定于11月2日上线的半小时剧《归途》将由原播客作者改编，是一部政治惊悚剧，剧中讲述了一个协助士兵重返社会的秘密政府机构工作的社工Heidi Bergman（Julia Roberts饰演）、她的上级和一名士兵Walter（Stephan James饰）的故事。Bobby Cannavale饰演Colin Belfast，他是「Homecoming Initiative」部门的非现场主管，具有野心。

四年后Heidi离开了机构，与母亲Ellen Bergman（Sissy Spacek饰）同住的她在小镇当侍应。某天一名国防部稽核员（Shea Whigham饰）前来询问女主那政府机构的事，令Heidi洞悉四年前的事件可能另有秘密。
