　　 FX 新剧《余光》（Lights Out）是一部典型的男性剧集，女演员的戏份很少。故事从拳击手Patrick Leary（Holt McCallany扮演）失去世界重量级拳王金腰带开始。Patrick对自己的失败十分痛苦，总想着东山再起，但他的妻子Theresa却不赞成丈夫这么做。Theresa下达了最后通牒：「拳击赛场太危险，我不想看着你死。要么你退出比赛，要么我们离婚。」

     于是Patrick收手了，一停就是五年。他老老实实地扮演着家庭主男的角色，送妻子去读医学院，每天早上很早爬起来做早餐，准时开车送三个女儿去学校，让父亲照看他的拳击运动场，让兄弟管理他的财产。他想安安静静地享受生活，但天不遂人愿，一场经济危机使他失去了大部分财产－－他的兄弟债台高筑，他的拳击场也因为没有高质量的比赛和有名望的拳击手加盟而变得十分萧条。更糟的是，当年将他赶下世界拳王宝座的拳击手不停在公众场合羞辱他，叫嚣着要和他再赛一场。经过一番考虑，Patrick决定重返赛场。

     这部剧集有很强的《洛基》与《黑道家族》合体的味道。虽然每年都有一些反映拳击手的电影出现，但电视剧却不多见，喜欢拳击运动、拳击手、励志故事或者「男人味」的朋友不要错过。
