　　1983年，连环杀人犯亨利·卢卡斯（Antonio Sabato Jr. 饰）落网，资深警长拉洛比（John Diehl 饰）奉命审讯这个冷血狂魔。亨利极为配合，不仅指出了每一次作案和藏尸地点，还详尽回忆了作案的全过程。未过多久，德州某报记者致电拉洛比，要求采访这名震惊全国的杀人狂。在记者面前，亨利张口回忆了自己的过去。20世纪40年代，出生在弗吉尼亚西部的亨利没有体验过快乐的童年，他每天要做各种各样的家务，稍有差池便会遭到母亲维拉（Caia Coley 饰）的残酷毒打，更时常蒙受精神上的羞辱。童年和青年时代的经历无疑给了他巨大的影响，荒凉漫长的国家公路上，嗜血狂魔一路前行……
