　　Jessica 是一名律师﹐丧夫3年﹐一直用忙碌充塞着时间来疗伤﹐这一年带着儿子Henry 回家乡﹐跟父母﹑妹妹及妹夫过圣诞﹐并且计划把父母的房子买下来﹐因为房子是父亲亲手建造的﹐父母计划移居加洲﹐却没想到房子放盘多时都未能成功﹐可是Jessica 回来前﹐父亲刚巧于把房子卖了﹐买家是镇上的Michael。

　　虽然家人都很喜欢Michael﹐然而Jessica 却因房子一事很讨厌他﹐并且千方百计要阻止买卖房子这件事。当她知道父亲跟Michael 的买卖合约订明﹐若Michael 不能把自己的房子卖掉﹐这买卖就会作废﹐于是她就从地产经纪身上着手﹐就是买家要看Michael的房子时﹐她就从中破坏。结果﹐事件东窗事发﹐本来想跟她候朋友的Michael﹐也因此而非常生气。

　　Jessica 9岁时﹐在这里渡过一个很欢乐的暑假﹐每天都在树林里与一名男孩玩﹐后来他们更把喜爱的东西﹐放在便当盒里﹐然后埋在泥土里﹐作为时间锦囊﹐证人则是一只黄金猎犬﹐可是之后两人再没有来往了。这件事多年来都在两人心中深深铭记﹐却没想到原来主人翁就是Jessica 及Michael 这对冤家。多年后﹐积极撮合这段姻缘是一条Michael 刚养没多久的一只黄金猎犬﹐当Jessica 发现此事时﹐她要积极恶补跟Michael 的关系~
