电影介绍
当拉斯·林德森兴高采烈地向哥哥高斯嫂嫂卡琳宣布他今晚要带一个在网上认识的女孩回来吃饭时，高斯和卡琳夫妇俩衷心为拉斯的改变感到高兴。
拉斯一直是个害羞的帅小伙，或者光说他害羞还不够，因为他会拒绝掉哥嫂极力邀请他去参加的任何派对，而且他也从不参与小镇上任何社交活动，就是他的同事，美丽的马戈如何向他暗示自己早已对他芳心暗许，拉斯都尽量避开。如今，拉斯终于有交往对象了，身为哥嫂当然很开心。
然而，当拉斯把他的朋友碧昂卡带回家时，高斯与卡琳傻眼了。原来碧昂卡，拉斯的新朋友，竟然是个真人大小的充气娃娃。可是拉斯完全把碧昂卡当成真人对待，无法高斯与卡琳马上意识到这个极度自闭的弟弟身上终于出现大问题。
高斯与卡琳马上去咨询镇上的家庭医生达戈玛·伯曼，医生建议他们要顺着拉斯的意思，因为拉斯现在正经历一场危机，他的幻想一旦被粗暴地幻灭掉，后果可能不堪设想。深爱拉斯的哥嫂听从伯曼医生的意见，劝说小镇上的居民合伙一起顺着拉斯的意思，把碧昂卡当真人对待。
于是，在碧昂卡的陪伴下，拉斯终于愿意出席自己人生中第一场社交派对。不仅如此，小镇教会还答应拉斯的请求，同意碧昂卡到当地教堂做礼拜，而小镇上的服装店也给了碧昂卡工作，让她当店里的模特。拉斯在众人的呵护下生活得越来越开心，而小镇居民没想到碧昂卡这个充气娃娃的出现，竟然会填补他们自己心中的空虚，甚至改变他们的生活。一场充满正能量的大改变就发生在小镇所有居民身上。
幕后花絮
片中的充气娃娃比安卡处处受到礼遇，而在拍摄中，制片人和导演也要求像对待任何一位女演员一样对待这个充气娃娃，于是它在自己的拖车中换装，有戏时才会出现在片场。
