　　盖勒（艾米·波勒 Amy Poehler 饰），贝姬（帕克·波西 Parker Posey 饰）和朱迪（瑞秋·德拉彻 Rachel Dratch 饰）是三位相处多年的好友，表面上，她们感情要好情同手足，但在暗地里，每一个人都暗暗地较着劲，希望自己能够比其她两人过得好一点，希望能够得到其她两人羡慕的目光。为此，三人都做了不少的努力，但均以失败告终，每一个人都是五十步笑百步。
